PROGRAMME
SYNOPSIS
OMAKASE is Decadance Co’s signature performance-experience series — an intimate evening of food, wine, and dance, curated for the company’s close circle of patrons, collaborators, and supporters. True to its name — from the Japanese “omakase,” meaning “I’ll leave it to you” — each edition invites audiences to surrender to surprise, discovering a unique blend of movement, conversation, and artistic exchange.
For this edition of OMAKASE, *Decadance Co partners with SCAPE to offer a special expanded experience. This presentation features four choreographers — Joanne Seow, Oh Jia Hao, Jack Ng, and Joseph Chua — each creating an original 10–12-minute duet. These distinct works will be spliced and interwoven into one full-length performance, exploring ideas of trust, flow, and collective creation — a choreographic omakase of sorts.

RACHEL LUM ARTISTIC DIRECTOR / MENTOR
Rachel is a contemporary dance artist from Singapore, recognised for her distinctive movement language—fluid, intricate, and full of character. Her emotionally resonant and inventive works have been presented internationally in cities such as Stockholm, Istanbul, Amman, and Bracknell.
As the Co-Founder of Decadance Co, Rachel is dedicated to pushing artistic boundaries and making contemporary dance more accessible. A graduate of NAFA’s Diploma in Dance, she began her professional journey with Frontier Danceland before becoming a founding member of Re:Dance Theatre and a movement artist with The Arts Fission Company. She also holds an Advanced Yoga Teacher Certification, which deepens her understanding of embodiment and informs her choreographic and teaching practice.
Beyond performance, Rachel is an educator and community advocate. Through Decasilver, a movement programme she co-designed for seniors, she champions accessibility and intergenerational connection—using dance as a means of expression, empowerment, and well-being.
JOANNE SEOW CHOREOGRAPHER
Joanne embarked on her dance journey at the age of five, she later pursued her professional training at LASALLE College of the Arts, graduated with Distinction in 2021.
