PROGRAMME

SYNOPSIS

OMAKASE 4.1 brings together four works that explore distinct human experiences and values. Joanne Seow's work examines how intimacy and familiarity shape relationships, revealing both the comforts and tensions that emerge over time. Joseph Chua's piece draws inspiration from the moral themes found in the story of Mulan, exploring duty, courage, and selflessness through an expanded cast. Oh Jiahao's work examines friendship, resentment, and the healing power of forgiveness, while Paopa-nga Karunnaraporn's work explores interpersonal tensions arising from accumulated stress and emotional pressures.

Presented across four performances over two evenings, OMAKASE 4.1 offers audiences a diverse range of contemporary dance works that explore relationships, values, and the emotional complexities of everyday life.
