Edwin.
Edwin Wee is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Decadance Co, a socially conscious contemporary dance company in Singapore. A graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, he began his career presenting The Shaman’s Cat at da:ns Festival 2008 and performing in Generations Spotlight: Moscow directed by Ivan Heng. He later performed for President S.R. Nathan at the Singapore Design Awards.
Edwin was with The Arts Fission Company from 2008 to 2018, becoming Rehearsal Director in 2011 and Artistic Director for their youth productions from 2012. He has directed and choreographed over 20 productions locally and internationally.
As Creative Producer of all Decadance Co’s works, Edwin has brought the company’s works to several international festivals since 2022, representing a Singaporean contemporary voice on global platforms.
Committed to redefining ageing through the arts, Edwin leads decasilver, a programme dedicated to promoting wellness, creativity, and connection among seniors, with expansions into palliative, intergenerational, and dementia-specific spaces. His work continues to use dance as a medium to inspire warmth, resilience, and dignity across all stages of life. He represented Singapore as a speaker about dance as an important placemaking tool at the 4th International Placemaking Week, Baltimore, USA.
Rachel.
Rachel Lum graduated with a Diploma in Dance from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in year 2011. Upon graduation, she joined Frontier Danceland as an apprentice. Rachel then joined Re:Dance Theatre (RDT) as a founding member where she actively performed in all of her core and external productions such as M1 Contact Dance Festival, M1 Singapore Fringe Festival, Singapore Night Festival and NUS Arts Festival. Rachel was also the training mistress for Re:Dance Theatre 2. In 2017, she joined The Arts Fission Company as a movement artist. In addition, she has created numerous dance works and one of them, No Corners, was invited to perform at Lift Off Dance Festival in Bracknell, United Kingdom. As a freelance artist, she has performed in M1 Contact Dance Festival, CDE Springboard Dance Festival Macau and DANCESTAGES Shanghai.
Joanne.
Joanne graduated with distinction from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2021. During her time there, she had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of local and international artists, including Rachel Lopez de la Nieta (UK), Leah Morrison (UK), Ery Mefri (Indonesia), Eisa Jocson (Philippines), Susan Sentler (UK/Singapore), and Jenny Neo (Singapore). Her experience also extended across various disciplines such as fine arts, fashion, film, and animation, which broadened her perspective and deepened her approach to dance.
Since graduating, Joanne has joined Decadance Co as a full-time dance artist in 2021, performing in all major productions and touring with the company at numerous dance festivals. Additionally, she is a facilitator for the Decasilver program, where she leads and engages senior participants through specialized dance programs designed to promote physical well-being, creativity, and self-expression. Joanne also leads the Decakids program, teaching weekly dance classes where she draws on her experience as a dance teacher to help students build long-term skills like body awareness, teamwork, coordination, and agility. She was the assistant choreographer for Creased in 2023 and co-choreographer for Knotted in 2024.
PAO.
Pao born and raised in Chiangmai, Thailand. Her journey in dance began at young age in Thailand. Pao's dedication to dance led her to numerous classes, workshops, and competitions in Thailand, as well as international stages in Macao, Manila, and Singapore.
At age of 18, she decided to pursue in dance career and join diploma in dance at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Pao's dedication to excellence earned her the Dean's List Award from the School of Dance at NAFA. Beyond school performances, Pao's talents graced the stage at Emergence presented by Singapore Chinese Dance Theater, Singapore Night Festival ,and University of Arts Singapore Symposium. She is currently joining Decadance Co as a project dancers as well as decasilver facilitator.
JIAHAO.
Oh Jia Hao began his dance journey with Breaking (B-Boying) at the age of 13. He later pursued professional training at LASALLE College of the Arts. After three semesters, he transferred to the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), where he graduated with a Diploma in Dance. Over the years, Jia Hao has collaborated with both local and international artists, including Sam Coren, Ezekiel Olivera, Richard Chappell, Charlotte Christensen Boye, Aditep Buanoi, Hwa Wei An, Kuik Swee Boon, and Albert Tiong. In 2022, he worked with The Human Expression (T.H.E) Dance Company as a project artist and continued his work as a project artist with Decadance Co in 2024. Jia Hao is currently an independent artist, aspiring to share his craft with people around the world.
